About Me

About Me

Hi, I’m Ariella—a Senior Product Designer currently crafting Olympic hospitality experiences at TKO. I specialize in turning complex systems into simple, human-centered tools, and I’ve designed for global events, cybersecurity, and education. Outside of work, you’ll find me dancing (sometimes in new countries), learning languages, or catching up with friends. I speak English, Spanish, and Korean—and I love building products that bring people together.

My Journey to UX

My Journey to UX

Growing up in a very Caribbean household, I was told I could only be two things: a lawyer or a doctor. I chose doctor—it seemed more interesting, and I loved science.

But college opened my eyes. I met people from different walks of life, explored new environments, and realized just how big the world really is—and how many careers existed beyond the ones I knew. I started questioning whether I wanted to commit to a path I wasn’t passionate about.

Determined not to waste my college experience, I switched my major to Communication Studies. I’ve always been fascinated by how people think, act, and connect—probably because I grew up shy and spent a lot of time observing the world around me. That shift led me to discover UX design through a series of courses, and I immediately fell in love. It brought together everything I cared about: people, technology, problem-solving, and creativity. From that moment on, I was all in.

Design Impact

Design Impact

Since diving into UX, I’ve led design efforts across industries—shaping digital experiences for everything from global sporting events to cybersecurity and higher education.

At TKO, I’m currently leading the design of Olympic hospitality platforms, including a large group management system and a redesigned request platform that increased task success by 42%. I also contributed to the launch of the Paris 2024 Hospitality App, enhancing the experience for guests around the world.

Before that, I designed new product offerings at ISC2 that drove a 47% increase in member acquisition and led a global rebrand spanning three continents. I’ve also built digital learning experiences for adult learners at the University of Miami, where my design journey began.

From simplifying complex workflows to scaling thoughtful systems, my goal has always been the same: create intuitive tools that make life easier—and a little more delightful—for the people who use them.
